How to Change the Tire on a Xiaomi Electric Scooter133
Changing the tire on a Xiaomi electric scooter is a relatively simple task that can be completed in under 30 minutes. With the right tools and a little bit of patience, you can easily keep your scooter in tip-top shape.
Tools and Materials
13mm wrench
10mm wrench
Allen wrench set
New tire
Tire levers (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Remove the wheel
Start by loosening the 13mm axle nut on the side of the wheel you want to remove. Be careful not to remove the nut completely, as you need it to hold the wheel in place while you work. Next, use the 10mm wrench to loosen the two bolts that hold the caliper to the fork. Once the bolts are loose, you can carefully slide the caliper off the rotor and out of the way.
With the caliper removed, you can now pull the wheel straight out of the fork. Be careful not to damage the wiring that runs along the side of the fork.
Step 2: Remove the old tire
Once the wheel is removed, you can start removing the old tire. If you have tire levers, you can use them to pry the tire off the rim. Be careful not to damage the rim or the tire bead. If you don't have tire levers, you can use a flathead screwdriver or a butter knife to carefully pry the tire off the rim.
Once the tire is off, you can remove the inner tube from the tire. Be careful not to puncture the inner tube.
Step 3: Install the new tire
To install the new tire, simply reverse the steps you took to remove the old tire. Start by inserting the inner tube into the tire. Then, carefully put the tire on the rim, starting with one side and working your way around. Once the tire is on the rim, you can use your tire levers to pry the tire bead into place. Be careful not to pinch the inner tube.
Step 4: Reinstall the wheel
With the new tire installed, you can now reinstall the wheel. Start by sliding the wheel back into the fork. Then, tighten the 13mm axle nut. Next, slide the caliper back onto the rotor and tighten the two bolts. Finally, reconnect the wiring to the caliper.
Step 5: Check the tire pressure
Once the wheel is reinstalled, check the tire pressure and adjust it to the manufacturer's specifications. You can use a tire gauge to check the tire pressure.
Tips
If you have a hard time removing the tire, you can try using a tire lubricant to help loosen it.
Be careful not to overtighten the axle nut or the caliper bolts.
Check the tire pressure regularly and adjust it as needed.
