Materials:* 1 skein of medium-weight rabbit fur yarn
* 5 mm (US 8) circular knitting needles
* Tapestry needle

Gauge:* 20 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches

Instructions:Hat:

Cast on 100 stitches.
Knit in the round for 6 inches.
Bind off all stitches.

Ear Flaps:

Cast on 30 stitches.
Knit in garter stitch (knit every row) for 10 inches.
Bind off all stitches.
Repeat for the second ear flap.

Assembly:

Fold the hat band in half lengthwise, matching the cast-on and bind-off edges.
Sew the two edges together to form a tube.
Fold the ear flaps in half lengthwise and sew them to the inside of the hat, about 6 inches from the top.
Sew a small button or snap to the top of the hat for decoration.
