Disassembly1. Gather your tools. You will need a small screwdriver, a pair of tweezers, and a watch crystal press.
2. Remove the watchband. Most watchbands are attached to the watch case with spring bars. You can remove the spring bars by using a small screwdriver or a pair of tweezers.
3. Remove the back of the watch case. The back of the watch case is usually held in place by four screws. Remove the screws and carefully lift off the back of the watch case.
4. Remove the movement. The movement is the part of the watch that contains the quartz crystal and the other components that regulate the timekeeping. Carefully remove the movement from the watch case.
5. Remove the battery. The battery is usually held in place by a metal clip. Use a pair of tweezers to remove the clip and then lift out the battery.

Assembly1. Insert the new battery. Make sure that the positive (+) side of the battery is facing up.
