Easy and Stylish Ear Muffs Tutorial220

Ear muffs are a winter essential, but they can also be a stylish accessory. If you're looking for a way to keep your ears warm and add a little bit of flair to your outfit, then you can try making your own ear muffs with this easy tutorial.

Materials:* 1/2 yard of faux fur or fleece fabric
* 1/4 yard of coordinating fabric for the lining
* 1/4 yard of batting or quilt filler
* Two 1/2-inch buttons
* Thread
* Sewing machine

Instructions:1. Cut two circles from the faux fur or fleece fabric, and two circles from the lining fabric. The circles should be large enough to cover your ears, plus an inch or two extra for seam allowance.
2. Layer the faux fur or fleece circle, the batting, and the lining circle together, with the right sides of the fabric facing each other. Pin around the edges, leaving a 2-inch opening for turning.
3. Sew around the edges using a 1/4-inch seam allowance, leaving the 2-inch opening for turning.
4. Turn the ear muffs right side out through the opening and press flat.
5. Top stitch around the edges of the ear muffs, close to the seam, to secure the layers and give them a finished look.
6. Sew a button on each side of the ear muffs, for decoration and to hold them in place.

Tips:* If you don't have any faux fur or fleece fabric, you can use any other type of fabric that is thick and warm.
* If you want to add a little bit of extra warmth, you can add a layer of flannel or polar fleece between the faux fur or fleece and the lining.
* You can also add other embellishments to your ear muffs, such as sequins, beads, or embroidery.
* If you don't have a sewing machine, you can hand sew the ear muffs using a whip stitch or a blanket stitch.
