DIY Cabled Headband Ear Warmers135


Materials you'll need:
Worsted weight yarn (250 yards)
Size H (5mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

Abbreviations:
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
C2tog - cable 2 together

Instructions:

Row 1: Ch 100. Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (99 sts)

Row 2: Sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn. (99 sts)

Row 3: Sc in the next 4 sts. *C2tog, hdc in the next st; repeat from * across to the last 4 sts. Sc in the last 4 sts. Ch 1, turn. (95 sts)

Row 4: Sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn. (95 sts)

Repeat Rows 3-4 until the headband measures approximately 19 inches. Do not fasten off.

Row 5: Sc in the next 50 sts. Ch 1, turn. (51 sts)

Row 6: Sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn. (51 sts)

Row 7: Sl st in the next 25 sts. Bind off the remaining 26 sts. Fasten off.

Row 8 (for the other ear warmer): Sc in the next 50 sts. Ch 1, turn. (51 sts)

Row 9: Sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn. (51 sts)

Row 10: Sl st in the next 26 sts. Bind off the remaining 25 sts. Fasten off.

Finishing:

Arrange the two ear warmers so that the right sides are facing each other. Whip stitch the two sides together along the edges, leaving the bottom open.

Weave in any loose ends and your cabled headband ear warmers are complete!
