Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Omron Digital Blood Pressure Monitor. This product is a precision electronic device, designed to provide you with accurate and reliable blood pressure measurements. Please read this manual carefully before using the product to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Before Use

1. Ensure that your fingernails are trimmed and that your hands are clean and dry.
2. Rest for at least 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
3. Avoid caffeine, tobacco, or alcohol consumption for at least 30 minutes prior to measurement.
4. Sit in a comfortable position with your feet flat on the floor and your back supported.
5. Place the cuff on your upper arm with the bottom edge approximately 1-2 cm (1/2-1 inch) above your elbow crease.
6. Ensure that the cuff is snug but not too tight. You should be able to fit two fingers between the cuff and your arm.

Taking a Measurement

1. Press the power button to turn on the monitor.
2. The cuff will automatically inflate.
3. Do not move or talk during the measurement.
4. The monitor will beep when the measurement is complete and display the systolic (upper) and diastolic (lower) blood pressure values, as well as the pulse rate.
5. Press the power button to turn off the monitor.

Interpreting Results

The World Health Organization (WHO) has established the following blood pressure categories:
